He will report directly to CEO Lee McIntire. Bob Allen will now lead a strategic effort focused on the growing the firm’s talent pool.

“Investing in talent and continuing our commitment to remain a best place to work is a strategic imperative for CH2M HILL,” says Lee McIntire, president and CEO. “John Madia’s depth of experience and leadership in global human resources aligns with CH2M HILL’s priorities for enhancing our employee experience. Previously, Madia was Vice President of Human Resources for Dow Chemical’s Manufacturing, Engineering, Shared Services and Marketing functions. During his 31-year career with Dow, Madia advanced from a sales representative to business leadership roles and ultimately, to vice president. He continues to serve on the University’s Advisory Committees for the College of Agriculture and is an Athletic Varsity Club charter member. In addition, he is a member of the executive board of the Indiana Bulls Baseball Organization.

Bob Allen, Madia’s predecessor, will serve as the senior executive sponsor for the firm’s strategic talent and executive development initiative. “Bob has the unique perspective of having served our previous CEO, Ralph Peterson, and me as a trusted advisor,” said McIntire. “I am expecting Bob to utilize his executive development competencies to drive this critical talent initiative for the firm.”
