1 April, 2009 — CH2M HILL Cos. Ltd. will help oversee construction of a $22 billion "Crossrail" project to expand London's rail lines -- said to be Europe's largest construction project and one that includes a new train tunnel boring under the central part of the city.
CH2M Hill -- a private, employee-owned global engineering and construction firm based in Douglas County -- is partnering with two other companies to form a consortium, known as Transcend, for the project.
Lee McIntire, CEO and president of CH2M Hill, said in a statement Tuesday, "We are gratified to be selected as part of the team that will help deliver one of the world's largest infrastructure programs."
